GRIFFON MATTERS
A place for thought provoking information on building better brachycephalic dogs.
We love our little snub nosed dogs, they're so cute, however as with many things humans have gone for the 'if a short nose and wide face is cute, let's make it shorter and wider' approach and in the case of noses and skulls this can only go so far without causing all kinds of compromise to the dogs and isn't that the last thing we want to do to our little snub nosed companions?
So doesn't it boil down to working out 'how snub' and 'how wide' dogs can be structured for their cuteness factor, but without causing them breathing issues and brain squeeze?
This is our approach - this blog is created by Henny van den Berg and Lee Pieterse. Both are breeders of note with many successes under their belts. Both are passionate about building healthier snub nosed dogs and have created this blog to share our discoveries and others discoveries that we think can be helpful to all brachy dog breeders and admirers.
